Stoke Coworking, a local entrepreneurial and coworking space, will host a Tech Career Fair in partnership with North Central Texas College on August 9.
The fair will take place between 6 to 8 p.m. at Stoke Denton, located at 608 E. Hickory St. #128. Up to 30 employers will be present from fields including cyber security, information technology, gaming, web design, database and networking.
The event will feature NCTC, Small Business Development Center and Texas Workforce Commission staff who can help attendees with resume, interview and small business-related tips.
In other news from the company, Stoke Coworking announced the launch of Fireside Chats in a press release Monday. The program will showcase interviews with local entrepreneurs about their journey of starting a business in front of a live audience. The program is set to take place quarterly.
Stoke’s first Fireside Chat will be with Armadillo Ale Works co-founders Yianni Arestis and Bobby Mullins. Kevin Roden, vice president of Ready Rosie, will conduct the interview to give the audience a glimpse into the duo’s experience with opening their brewery.
“We are thrilled to launch this program that will be uniquely Denton and a celebration of the small business and startup community that exists here,” said Heather Gregory, the executive director of Stoke Denton. “Being an entrepreneur is a hard and often lonely road and by conducting these interviews in front of a live audience, we will provide a platform for entrepreneurs of Denton to share their journey with their fans and supporters.”
