SPRINGVILLE—UNOVA is hosting an ice cream social to introduce the community to its new business on Wednesday, July 18. The founders of UNOVA, a new coworking space on Mechanic Street, will be at Springville Dairy from 5:30-7 p.m. on July 18.
Those who attend can join in the discussions of coworking and collaborating consumption in general and learn how the space can provide home workers, freelancers, small business owners and community organizers a better place to work in the Village of Springville and discover what coworking has to offer.
There will also be free ice cream for those attending.
Coworking allows for a shared workplace for independent workers. Atypical of a traditional office, the workers aren’t from the same company or organization. Using a set of shared values – openness, community, accessibility, sustainability and collaboration – the space gives non-traditional employees an office-like setting.
UNOVA plans to open its 23 Mechanic St. space this year.
