Fruita will soon have a new dental practice with a focus on making the experience convenient and comfortable.
Dr. Dustin Patrick will open River’s End Dental on Monday at 532 Raptor Road. The office will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday and will have an open house at 6 p.m. Saturday for the community. The business is located in a new building between Starbucks and Jimmy John’s.
Patrick spent the past six years in Dove Creek, near Cortez, as the dental director of a government-subsidized community health clinic. In looking for a place for a private dental practice, he said he fell in love with Fruita.
“We loved it there, but we wanted to do our own practice,” Patrick said of Dove Creek. “We researched and wanted to stay on the Western Slope. We really liked Fruita. We came up to investigate and decided to move here. It’s an awesome place.”
Patrick will have two others on staff as he builds a patient base. He said he accepts a wide variety of dental insurances.
“We want to be active in the community and see how we can help local businesses as well,” Patrick said.
In attempting to make the practice convenient for the customer, Patrick will have extended hours with appointments available between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and will be open Saturdays. Scheduling is available online at riversenddental.com.
