Common Desk is heading to the Innovation District. The Dallas-based coworking firm announced today that it is opening a sixth North Texas location in downtown at the West End’s Factory Six03—which also happens to coincide with its sixth anniversary this month.
Slated to open early next year, the 18,085-square-foot space will provide tenants and members with an integrated coworking experience and various programming initiatives. Common Desk, a coworking and workday amenities provider, has partnered with commercial real estate investment and development firm Granite Properties for the historic West End location, marking the second project the two will complete together.

The intention is to let Common Desk – Factory Six03 function as a hospitality-coworking space, with an innovative workspace that inspires professionals to be more productive. The 115-year-old warehouse, located on Munger Ave., was transformed by Granite Properties into a creative modern office space. By teaming up with Common Desk, Granite says it will be able to offer additional amenities that foster this vibrant work environment that will attract a wide range of skilled customers.
As one of his favorite buildings in Dallas, Clark also says he hopes Factory Six03 is going to grow and evolve Common Desk’s branded amenity offerings.
“The West End is a nostalgic place for many Dallasites and historic buildings like this can’t be replicated,” Clark says. “The Factory Six03 space has intrinsic value in the Dallas community and this is the kind of property we want to be a part of.”
And the team intends to keep that historic value.
Common Desk – Factory Six03 will have an artistic feel with exposed brick, concrete textures, and giant factory-style paned windows. The renovated building will come with a variety of special features, including: a vinyl record lounge, an open-air mezzanine, tiered office spaces, a library wall with a built-in book nook, various soft seating areas, the original historic brick smokestack, a wet bar, and mosaic tile floors. Also, a collaborative lounge and meeting space (dubbed “The Stack”), shared work areas and a kitchen, and an outdoor patio with skyline views will be housed on the top floor.
Common Desk has even recruited Dallas-based Artist Uprising to curate the art to be displayed in the city’s iconic building.
“So many of us grew up going to Factory Six03 when it operated as the West End Marketplace Mall,” Clark said in a release. “It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity in Dallas to deliver an offering that’ll be different from any other coworking space in the urban core.”
Common Desk currently holds 70,000 square feet of space throughout four coworking locations in North Texas. 2019 will see the opening of Factory Six03, along with the 52,000-square-foot space in Trammell Crow Center.
