Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart is looking to pick up about 3,000 co-working desks in Bengaluru in order to go ahead with its first transaction in the flexible office space, The Economic Times reported, citing sources close to the matter.
The source told ET that Flipkart has floated the request for proposal and is in talks with at least five operators to fill in the requirement.
This comes as a development in the Walmart-owned Flipkart and is being seen as a departure from the company’s practice of functioning in its own campus. It should be noted that Flipkart does, in fact, has an 8,00,000 square feet custom-built corporate campus in Bengaluru itself.
