‘Urban Place’ Coworking Space Opens On Top Floor Of Jerusalem Bus Station

Boutique coworking company Urban Place announced this week the opening of a coworking space in Israel on the top floor of the Jerusalem Central Bus Station, directly across from the new Yitzhak Navon railway station. This is Urban Place’s third location opening in four years, following coworking spaces in the Shalom Tower on Ahad Ha’am Street in Tel Aviv and one on Rothschild Boulevard.

The Jerusalem location includes 2,000 square meters of office space divided into 95 private offices, 40 open space spots, and 300 single-user stations. The strategic location makes for an easy spot to commute to and from, Urban Place said in a statement, adding that it was part of a vision to create a connected business district while positioning Jerusalem as an international technology and business center.

Membership prices start at NIS 550 ($152) and include access to Urban Place’s Tel Aviv locations.

“The high-tech scene in Jerusalem is in full swing and there is a great demand for high-quality, prestigious coworking spaces in the city,” said Urban Place CEO Roman Levy. “The significant investment we have made in designing the space to be both practical and aesthetically pleasing, combined with our strong, diverse community will position Urban Place as a bridge between entrepreneurs and companies operating in both Tel Aviv.

The offices feature a fitness room, a game room with ping pong tables and Play Station, a beauty center, a synagogue, high-end meeting rooms, an auditorium and a luxury area, among other amenities. Members are also able to benefit from Urban Place’s collaboration with the Bloomberg International Network which grants them access “to a new financial laboratory, including digital terminals and financial information from Israel and abroad.”

Founded in 2015 by Nissim Lahiani, Claude Bismuth, Bernard Chalfon, and Levy, Urban Place says it has plans to open additional spaces in Herzliya and Ra’anana and is in ongoing talks to launch workspaces in European cities including Berlin, Madrid, Paris, and London.
